I don't think I had ever seen so much color that was created by flowers. You could literally see orange fields carpeted with poppies from many miles away. This image was taken not too far from the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve . One thing I didn't realize the first time I went to this location was that the poppies close up at night and don't open until the sun warms them up.
