I waited all winter for the right conditions and they finally happened on this particular evening. I looked out our living room window about an hour before sunset and could see the clouds starting to break up after the storm that dumped 20 inches of snow. These peaks were totally socked in until about 5 minutes before sunset. Everything came together with the clouds breaking up just as the pink was forming. This image was taken just as the pink was fading as the sun was going over the horizon
