Grand Canyon (P10)
I thought I'd get to the park early enough to get a good spot for sunrise. Little did I know that everyone else had the same idea. There was literally a 30 minute wait at the park entrance to get in since there were so many people. This was an hour before sunrise! Once I found a parking spot at Mather Point, I noticed hundreds of foreign toursist lined up along the railing (wearing t-shirts, 20 degrees with a breeze) looking towards where the sun was going to rise. I could tell it was going to be an incredible sunrise since there was a break on the horizon and clouds to the north and west. I set up my camera facing opposite the sun. Needless to say I was the only one with a tripod and a large format camera that morning setting up to shoot opposite the sun. Once they all noticed this, everyone lined up as close as they could to me thinking I had some "magical" spot. This was my 6th trip to this location and it finally paid off.
